Issue between what went on and what is going on in the nfl. this has to be a slap in the face to roger goodell to have ray rice reinstated. an arbitrator is saying you got it wrong. and the way she said you ve got it wrong. in her decision she specifically said that roger goodell was arbitrary. we don t like arbitrary justice. second of all, she made the point of saying she disagreed with what roger goodell said in the aftermath of the elevator tape being shown. i want to remind everybody what happened. he suspended ray rice for only two games. then the tmz tape comes out, everybody goes crazy over it as they should have after seeing that and said wait a minute, if you knew this, why didn t you suspend him for more? and he came out and in an effort apparently to save face and said no, no, no, ray rice misled me about what happened in that elevator. he didn t tell me the truth. so he basically tried to pin his initial two-game suspension being light on ray rice. ....

Doubt is the smoking gun. because this story is an important story. and, yet, the new york times, the wall street journal, all the network news, evening newscasts didn t mention it until issa got into the brawl with cummings and then they just did that go. right. i thought you were going to start out by saying why do you think this is but you are absolutely right. the reason is very simple. because barack obama is president. i know that sounds simple, maybe too simple. but it s the truth. what other explanation could there be? it s a big story. let s look at this way. imagine if george w. bush were president. the irs were targeting his political enemies during an election year, no less. and the central character, the central character refused to testify. that would be pretty big news. so be there is no other real explanation. it s speculation, perhaps ....

Is so engrained that they do it reflexively? mostly that but i m sure there are conversations what they call on background. you and i know what that is, but for the civilians out there that s where a high ranking official of the administration talks to reporters. you can t quote anything, but it gives them a frame of reference. so i m sure there is some of that but mostly it s engrained. look, the president of the united states did an interview with you on super bowl sunday and said there wasn t a smidgen of evidence, i m laughing at this because it is kind of funny, that there was any corruption there are several investigations that aren t complete. the central character takes the fifth by the way, she is entitled to exercise her constitutional rights, and i m entitled to believe that she is either involved in a crime or covering up one or covering for somebody who is involved in a crime. the president says there is not a smidgen of evidence ....

new york times wouldn t cover that story in that scenario, perhaps. come on, there is no way is that a joke? playing devil s advocate here. we don t know for sure, do we? we do? you hinted at something that s important. let me try to expand on it for the past five years, a little more than five years, there has been a tendency among the so-called mainstream media journalists to play stories the way the obama administration wants the stories to be played so if he thinks this is a phony scandal, they will treat it as a phony scandal. i know it sounds simple, but that s what it is. do you think there is back door stuff? do you think members of the obama administration actually call editors and certain reporters and discuss this stuff with them ....
