Description: The university is searching for a part-time Curator of Public Programs.  This is an intellectually engaging opportunity for someone interested in contemporary architectural discourse. S/he/they will be responsible for developing the school’s annual lecture series and coordinating other school events into our annual Public Programs. Competitive applicants will possess knowledge of national and international contemporary architecture and related fields. Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. 1-3 years experience in related fields with prior curatorial experience in academic, non-profit, and/or arts organizations.

The Architecture Section of the Knowlton School at The Ohio State University invites applications for a position at the rank of assistant or associate professor with a research focus on emerging digital design and fabrication technologies. This position is endowed by the Christos Yessios Fund, which is intended to support faculty with the potential to make significant contributions to the field through scholarship, design research, and/or creative design practice.
The architecture faculty at the Knowlton School comprises a cadre of original thinkers concerned with contemporary issues in the field ranging from the tectonics of composite materials to the evolution of human comfort to the distribution of architectural labor across digital networks, among others. As part of the College of Engineering, the Knowlton School presents a unique collaborative platform. This position will allow Knowlton architecture faculty to develop relationships with the landscape architecture and planning sections and with academic units and research centers on and off campus including the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, the Simulation Innovation and Modeling (SIM) Center, and the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD). The successful candidate will play a central role in developing the Knowlton School’s already robust capabilities in digital fabrication and her/his research and pedagogical agenda will inform the direction of the architecture section.
