A Newark man survived a roughly 1,000-foot tumble down a ski slope in New Hampshire Saturday. New Hampshire Fish and Game identified the man as 61-year-old Arild Hestvik, matching the description of a linguistics and cognitive science professor at the University of Delaware. He spent several hours on the side of the mountain as emergency responders rescued him. He was then taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, according to a press release.
