Byju's, the troubled edtech startup, has witnessed another top-level departure as its India CEO, Mrinal Mohit, has quit to pursue personal aspirations
Mohan joins the edtech major at a time when it is engaging with potential suitors to sell two of its key assets, even as it awaits the long-elusive fresh equity funding to pay off debts
Internally, the decision was announced on Wednesday. Mohit is leaving after spending nearly 10 years at Byju's. He was a close lieutenant of founder Byju Raveendran.
Change is constant at edtech major Byjus these days. Former UpGrad CEO Arjun Mohan has now been appointed CEO of the companys India business. Mohan, who had spent 11 years at Byjus in a senior role during an earlier stint, will replace Mrinal Mohit, who will exit the company after a decade.
Mohit is leaving the company for personal aspirations, the company said in a statement on September 20. Mohit has been leading Byju's' India operations since May last year
