Thousands of young archers throughout The Natural State took their places at the firing line recently to compete in the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Archery in the Schools regional qualifying tournaments.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is accepting applications for summer internships until March 31. These internships, funded by sales of the AGFC s Conservation License Plates, let students gain hands-on training and experience needed to compete for a future career in conservation, according to the Arkansas Wildlife Weekly Newsletter.

Open house to address deer hunting changes

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is reminding hunters in Ashley, Bradley and Union counties to participate in a special meeting devoted to deer hunting regulations and deer herd health in south Arkansas following the detection of chronic wasting disease in Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge during the 2021-22 deer season.
