Oxford ‘Poppy’ Art Poster Winners Announced The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Unit 376 sponsored a Poppy Poster Contest in both the Oxford Academy Middle and High Schools. The event was chaired by Terrill Sutton with assistance by Art Educators, Charity Gipp and Joni Eaton. Ten students were poster winners! The ALA's Poppy Poster Contest, for Unit 376, is the brainchild of Terrill Sutton originating in 2018. Five Washington School District Students Part of Iowa Youth Art Month

Five students from the Washington Community School District were chosen by Art Educators of Iowa for their Youth Art Month showcase. AEI members or teachers may enter up to 10 works of art for the showcase, and three second grade students from Stewart Elementary, one fifth grade student from Lincoln Elementary, and one seventh grade student from Washington Middle School were chosen. The students’ work will be exhibited through an online platform and each will receive a certificate of achievement. You can find photos and more information on the students selected here.
