Through the initiative of AVIVA Young Artists Program, music students will be able to lay their hands on 3D-printed violins.
Nothing beats the sound of a Stradivarius violin. It takes time, perfect materials, and a lot of expertise to build a high-quality string instrument, and the best ones can cost millions of dollars.
It's ironic that while violins are popular instruments for children to learn to play, they can also be pricey. The Montreal-based AVIVA Young Artists Program has set out to change that, by creating an inexpensive yet nice-sounding 3D-printed violin.
