The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) held the sixth symposium on the ASEAN Single Window (ASW) on April 4 to further boost the private sector's engagement and expand the use of ASW to enhance trade efficiency.
Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Kao Kim Hourn has said the bloc is looking to expand its single window initiative with Japan to boost two-way trade this year, marking the 50th anniversary of their bilateral dialogue relations.
Based on the preliminary results recorded during the first half of the year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade anticipates that export turnover for the whole year is estimated to be at about US$368 billion, an annual increase of around 9.46%.
