बॉलीवुड के बादशाह शाहरुख खान ने अनुपम खेर को दिए एक इंटरव्यू में खुलासा किया था कि उनका बचपन का नाम अब्दुर रहमान था। ये नाम उन्हें उनकी नानी द्वारा दिया गया था, हालांकि एक्टर ने ये भी साफ किया है कि उन्हें ये नाम उन पर नहीं जंचता। बचपन में रखा गया ये नाम कहीं भी रजिस्टर किया गया था और बाद में एक्टर का नाम शाहरुख रख दिया गया था। शाहरुख से पहले भी बॉलीवुड के कई पॉपुलर एक्टर ऐसे भी हैं जिनके असली नाम से देश के ज्यादातर लोग वाकिफ नहीं हैं। आइए जानते हैं वो सितारे कौन से हैं-
अजय देवगन- विशाल देवगन
2 अप्रैल 1969 में जन्में अजय देवगन का असली नाम विशाल वीरू देवगन रखा था। अजय के पिता वीरू देवगन एक पॉपुलर एक्शन डायरेक्टर थे। अजय ने साल 1991 में इंडस्ट्री में कदम रखते हुए ही अपना नाम बदल लिया था। उस समय मनोज कुमार के बेटे विशाल समेत इसी नाम के कई और लोग भी इंडस्ट्री में आए थे, ऐसे में कन्फ्यूजन से बचने के लिए एक्टर ने अपना नाम विशाल से अजय कर लिया था।
अमिताभ बच्चन - इंकलाब बच्चन
बॉलीवुड के महानायक अमिताभ बच्चन की मां तेजी बच्चन, आजादी के आंदोलन में शामिल थीं और उससे प्रभावित थीं। आंदोलन में शामिल एक शख्स ने कहा कि तेजी को अपने बच्चे का नाम इंकलाब रखना चाहिए। जब बच्चे का जन्म हुआ तो माता-पिता भी इंकलाब नाम रखने पर सहमत थे। लेकिन, कवि सुमित्रा नंदन पंत ने बच्चे का नाम अमिताभ रखा। दिलचस्प बात ये है कि अमिताभ बच्चन ने 1984 में एक फिल्म में काम किया था, जिसका नाम इंकलाब था। अमिताभ फिल्म के लीड रोल में थे।
शिल्पा शेट्टी- अश्विनी शेट्टी
बॉलीवुड एक्ट्रेस शिल्पा शेट्टी को जन्म के बाद अश्विनी शेट्टी नाम दिया गया था जो फिल्मों में आने से पहले बदल चुका है। एक्ट्रेस की मां सुनंदा शेट्टी एक एस्ट्रोलॉजर हैं जिन्होंने उनके करियर की खातिर नाम बदला था।
महिमा चौधरी- रितु चौधरी
परदेस, दाग द फायर जैसी फिल्मों में नजर आ चुकीं एक्ट्रेस महिमा चौधरी का असली नाम रितु चौधरी था। उन्हें फिल्मों में आने के बाद फिल्ममेकर सुभाष घई ने नया नाम दिया था।
मल्लिका शेरावत- रीमा लांबा
अपनी बोल्ड अदाओं से लाखों लोगों का दिल जीत चुकीं मल्लिका शेरावत का असली नाम रीमा लांबा है। एक्ट्रेस ने अपने परिवार की मर्जी के खिलाफ जाकर ग्लैमर इडंस्ट्री में कदम रखा और अपना नाम बदलकर मल्लिका रख लिया। यूं तो एक्ट्रेस का असली सरनेम लांबा था लेकिन उन्होंने इसे भी बदलकर अपनी मां का पुराना सरनेम शेरावत अपना लिया। मल्लिका ने रीमा नाम की अन्य एक्ट्रेसेस से नाम में कन्फ्यूजन के चलते अपना नाम बदला था।
दिलीप कुमार- मोहम्मद यूसुफ खान
इंडस्ट्री में सबसे ज्यादा फिल्मफेयर अवॉर्ड जीतने का रिकॉर्ड रखने वाले दिलीप कुमार का पैदाइशी नाम मोहम्मद यूसुफ खान था। एक्टर ने साल 1943 में मलाड के बॉम्बे टॉकीज में नौकरी शुरू की थी जहां उनकी दोस्ती एक्ट्रेस देविका रानी और अशोक कुमार से हो गई थी। देविका रानी ने ही मोहम्मद यूसुफ को दिलीप कुमार नाम रखने की सलाह देते हुए साल 1944 की फिल्म ज्वार भाटा में कास्ट किया था। ये दिलीप की डेब्यू फिल्म थी।
मधुबाला- बेगम मुमताज जहन दहलावी
एक जमाने की मशहूर अदाकारा रहीं मधुबाला का असली नाम बेगम मुमताज जहन दलहावी था। उन्होंने 1942 की फिल्म बसंत से इंडस्ट्री में कदम रखा जहां उन्होंने एक्ट्रेस मुमताज शांति की बेटी का रोल निभाया था। इस फिल्म के बाद से उन्हें बेबी मुमताज नाम से पहचाना जाने लगा। उस जमाने की मशहूर एक्ट्रेस देविका रानी इस फिल्म में एक्ट्रेस का अभिनय देखकर खूब प्रभावित हुईं और उन्हीं ने बेबी मुमताज को मधुबाला नाम दे दिया।
