Going to agree to raise the debt ceiling without those spending cuts. so the question becomes what will the house gop ask for, that is what they are grappling with. we know they want to stay away from social security and medicare because they could face backlash on that. but this meeting on wednesday will be the first time these two men have sat down since speaker mccarthy became the speaker. and again, there is a difference between sitting down and meeting and actually negotiating. we don't expect any sort of negotiating to start until at least the house gop can name what it is that they want...
