Tarn Taran SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan was transferred on September 29, two days after AAP's Khadoor Sahib MLA Manjinder Singh Lalpura alleged that the district police had filed a fake case for illegal mining against his brother-in-law, Nishan Singh.
AAP MLA from Khadoor Sahib, Manjinder Singh Lalpura, had on Wednesday alleged that Chauhan had implicated his relative in a false case of illegal mining, a charge that had been vehemently denied by the senior police officer.
