On Friday 19 April academic staff at Goldsmiths Uni in south London began a Marking and Assessment Boycott (MAB), as part of a programme of industrial action to stop the axing of a proposed 132.3 “roles”. Many more staff members than this figure have been put “in scope” for redundancy. The union is currently tackling the first stage of the compulsory redundancy process in which 11 out of 19 departments are affected.
