WORCESTER As demand in the real estate market continues to rise, single-family home prices in Worcester County jumped 19.1% last month as sales reached an all-time high in the state for the month of April.
Worcester County s single-family median sale price in April was $361,000, a nearly 20% increase since April 2020 s recorded price of $303,000. The year-to-date median sale price was $343,000, an 18.3% increase from $290,000 by April of last year.
In 2021 so far, 2,119 homes have been sold in Worcester County, with 596 sold in April alone.
In Massachusetts, the median statewide single-family home price surpassed $500,000 according to the Warren Group s monthly Massachusetts sales report. The group said this is the first time the prices have reached this level in the state since they began tracking transaction data in 1987.
