Student-athletes at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga continue to impress with another strong semester in the classroom. Final grades have been tallied for the 2021 spring semester, and UTC finished the term with a 3.304 overall student-athlete grade-point-average.
The Mocs tied a school record with 14 programs posting a 3.0 team GPA for the third semester in a row. The overall GPA is also the third-highest on record with the top three marks coming in the last three terms. ....

UTC Athletics Continues To Impress With 3.309 GPA

The 2020 fall semester will go down in history as a most unusual one at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The COVID-19 pandemic definitely made an impact on the University, but one thing that did not change was the academic success of the Mocs student-athletes. This group finished the term with a 3.309 overall grade-point-average, the second-highest mark in school history.
“Our students once again did an outstanding job in the classroom in a very trying environment,” stated UTC Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Mark Wharton. “They maintained a high-level of focus and commitment to academics, despite the uncertainty surrounding their personal and athletic lives during this pandemic.” ....
