A MURDERER has been handed a life sentence today after stabbing a 45-year-old who stepped in to help a couple when they were being threatened by the killer. Lee Knott died after being stabbed multiple times by 19-year-old Tony Robertson, who pleaded guilty to murder and threatening a person with a blade/ sharply pointed in a public place . Robertson was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court to life imprisonment, with a minimum of 20 years.
