Ujjwal Nikam Mumbai: BJP writes to ECI seeking action against Congress leader Wadettiwar for 'defaming' Ujjwal Nikam
The BJP has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission of India against the Congress and its leader Vijay Wadettiwar, accusing them of spreading falsehoods and defaming BJP's Mumbai North Central candidate, Ujjwal Nikam. Wadettiwar allegedly called Nikam "anti-national" and claimed that Hemant Karkare, the former Maharashtra ATS chief, was not killed by Ajmal Kasab's bullet during the 26/11 terror attack, but by a bullet from an RSS-affiliated policeman. Nikam has refuted these claims, calling them baseless and aimed at tarnishing his image.
