Five Israeli supporters arrested, according to Israeli media, while Malta Today reports that two are to be formally charged.

UEFA on Wednesday opened disciplinary proceedings after Israeli side Maccabi Haifa's Champions League qualifier against Hamrun Spartans in Malta was disrupted following chants of "Palestine, Palestine" by local fans. On Tuesday night, with the visitors two goals up, tensions rose as Maccabi fans launched flares onto the pitch in the Centenary Stadium in Ta' Qali in Malta in response to the Maltese supporters' chants. The game had to be stopped for 30 minutes, according to AFP.

Five Israelis were arrested as a result of Maccabi Haifa fans throwing flares and other objects onto the football pitch following supporters of the Maltese team Hamrun Spartans' chants of 'Palestine, Palestine.'

Ons Jabeur came back from a set and a break down to defeat Aryna Sabalenka 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-3 on Thursday and reach the Wimbledon final for the second consecutive year. This will be the third title match for Jabeur in the past five Grand Slam tournaments. The 25-year-old from Tunisia already was the only Arab woman and only North African woman to get to a major final.
