June 15 has real significance for Judge Ray B. Lyon, Judge of the Superior Court, for it is on that date this next group of “new citizens” is scheduled to appear for the court’s twice-yearly naturalization hearings and Judge Lyons stands to possibly reach his “4000 mark.”

Sixty school children were vaccinated for smallpox in the city schools last week and 62 more received like treatment this week, making a total of 122.
–Gradually more and more khaki uniforms are to be seen on the streets of Paso Robles. Last Saturday night there were quite a few, strolling singly, in pairs and in groups. Officers of various ranks appeared in hotel lobbies, in cafes and other public places. Non-coms, too, were seen here and there, looking the town over, searching for places of amusement and recreation.
