Port Clinton girls nip Huron; Lakers roll
The Beacon FROM STAFF REPORTS PORT CLINTON — Port Clinton trailed early but rallied in the second quarter to take the lead and held on for a 52-50 win over Huron. The Tigers led 14-7 after the first quarter but the Redskins rallied to take a 24-22 lead into the half. Port Clinton (1-3, 1-1 SBC Bay) led 36-35 after three quarters and outscored Huron, 16-15, in the fourth. It was the first win of the season for the Redskins, who got a game-high 23 points from Da’Cariya Lanier, 12 of which came in the second half.
