The Avalon String Quartet continues its series of concerts presented by and performed at the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center with a varied program of masterpieces and rediscovered gems on Friday, April 29, at 7:30pm.
During the 2021-2022 season the Avalon String Quartet will conclude the Beethoven cycle that was interrupted by the pandemic, as well as perform some fascinating newly rediscovered Chicago compositions from the first half of the 20th century, written by Florence Price and Leo Sowerby.
