AWSD Issues Urgent Plea For Water Conservation Locally
The Aquilla Water Supply District issued an urgent plea for customers to conserve water Friday, February 19, as the effects of recent winter weather continued to impact operations.
General Manager Brad Daniels said Friday that the district s treatment plant was operating at about 96% capacity to meet the high demand, and consumers were using water as quickly as it was treated.
The request is going out to all water customers served by the Aquilla Water Supply District through the City of Hillsboro, Brandon-Irene Water Supply Corporation, Chatt Water Supply Corporation, Files Valley Water Supply Corporation and Hill County Water Supply Corporation. ....
