Pittsburg State University’s Axe Library hosted a panel discussion about the infamous Bloody Benders Thursday night. The panel consisted of Max McCoy, a Kansas historian and journalist who has researched and written several articles about the family; Carol Staton and Mike Wood, curators of the Cherryvale Museum; and Bob Miller, current owner of the Bender property. 

Kansas historians will gather to present a talk about the “Bloody Benders” on Thursday, Oct. 27, at Axe Library at PSU for this year’s Gene DeGruson Memorial Lecture.
