Pittsburg State University’s Axe Library hosted a panel discussion about the infamous Bloody Benders Thursday night. The panel consisted of Max McCoy, a Kansas historian and journalist who has researched and written several articles about the family; Carol Staton and Mike Wood, curators of the Cherryvale Museum; and Bob Miller, current owner of the Bender property.
Film rights to the non-fiction book Hell's Half-Acre by British historian Susan Jonusas have been snapped up by London production house New Regency, according to Variety.
