They need. no doubt the public does not want these type of cuts. but if these cuts are attached to it and you are a trained lawyer, and you met one of the many things in your background do think the better option would be for the president to invoke the 14th amendment to raise the debt limit, if it came to that. ? the i m sure the white house is in the business right now of trying to think that through, to understand what that tool would look like. it s not something that we have done before i do think the best path forward is congress to come up with a strong solution here for us to do our job on a bipartisan basis but the 14th amendment exists for a reason it is there in part to make sure that these kinds of politics and these kinds of games are not played, but the united states meets its obligations so i think it s a backstop, i don t think we are there yet. but i am sure the white house counsel office is very busy this week and taking a look at the 14th amendment. you are the ....
