ROBERTSDALE, Alabama A Robertsdale man serving time on first degree assault charges for his role in an assault, robbery and kidnapping reported on Independence Day, 2017 in Robertsdale has been denied parole by the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles.
James Joel Harrison Thompson, now 22, of Robertsdale was booked July 11, 2017 and released Nov. 28, 2018 on charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree assault and first-degree kidnapping. Online records show he was booked again on the same charges on Dec 5, 2018.
According to a release, the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles held 25 parole hearings on Thursday, Feb. 25, granting two paroles and denying 23, including Thompson’s. Three parole hearings were continued to a later date. ....
