The 2021 Athens Twilight Criterium event will take place August 20-21.
The two-day USA Crits cycling event is typically held in late April, but it was confirmed to the Banner-Herald Tuesday that the event had been set for a late summer date.
We feel this will give us the best opportunity to have an event in 2021 with the COVID-19 vaccine deployment schedule we have at this moment, said Athens Twilight event director Ashley Travieso.  The vast majority of our participants are in the general population bracket, which we assume won t be receiving the vaccine until April, with the second shot coming a month later. ....
