On the complaint of Jarnail, the three accused have been booked under relevant sections of the IPC at Ambala Sadar police station on Friday.
Jarnail said, “I had paid Rs 7.10 lakh to Banta Ram and his sons Sanjay and Sohan Lal for sending me to Australia, but they instead they sent me to Indonesia. I stayed for about four months in Indonesia and I got ill and for about one-and-a-half months, I stayed in jail. Later, they deported me to India. On reaching India, I demanded the accused to return my money, but they did not give any satisfactory response. I lodged a complaint against them and they assured me to return Rs 7.10 lakh and gave me two cheques. Both the cheques got dishonoured from the bank.”
