A judge decided to block Idaho's abortion "trafficking" ban Wednesday, arguing that it would restrict a doctor's right to free speech, according to the ruling.
Christopher Tapp, the Idaho Falls man who was imprisoned for more than 20 years after being wrongfully convicted of murder, died Sunday, the Idaho Innocence Project told the Idaho Statesman.
Tapp was wrongfully convicted for the rape and murder of 18-year-old Angie Dodge in Idaho Falls in 1998. DNA evidence later proved his innocence.
Distrust and greater Idaho
During a meeting in Baker City last week, Oregon and Idaho representatives discussed the future of the Greater Idaho movement. The movement is spearheaded by rural Oregonians who want the Oregon-Idaho border to be moved westward so they can become residents of Republican state Idaho, rather than Oregon — a state that has been led by Democrats for the last three decades.
