A team of Connecticut researchers recently found scorpion tail-stingers – once thought sterile – are actually covered in bacteria, some of which appear new to science.
Research from Eastern Connecticut State University shows the venomous stingers of scorpions contain bacteria that could be useful in the development of new antibiotic medicines.
