'Try not to be disappointed' - Reaction as parkrun return is delayed
RUNNERS have voiced sadness as parkrun UK has announced that it has been forced to delay the planned reopening of 5k events in England on June 5, including one in Barrow. Parkrun UK had to cancel all events in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic last year, and many participants were looking forward to getting back to it at the start of June. Many volunteers were ready and raring to go for an event at Barrow Park and had the landowners' permission ready to do so.
