Bartkowiak says these speed signs which were installed in March along Peyton Drive, have already proven effective, and data collection is ongoing.
"I'm grateful they have considered this area, for that money [will be] used to build up our infrastructure," said Jesse Richardson, a Beaumont resident.
They say multiple people have been killed while trying to cross East Lucas and Pineburr Boulevard in the city's north end.
