Barton Library on Friday unveiled a painting donated by the family of a local artist, the late Alice Andrews.

The Barton Library on Thursday hosted the Block-R Barnyard petting zoo as part of the Union County Public Library System's annual Summer Reading Program, which aims to give local children opportunities to read and participate in educational activities in order to prevent summer learning loss. The UCPLS Summer Reading Program will continue through July 26, with activities planned at each of the UCPLS's six branches. For more information about the program, visit ucpls.org.
