Borno State High Court has sentenced Aisha Wakil (otherwise known as Mama Boko Haram) and two others to 10 years’ imprisonment over N40 million fraud.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Head of Media and Publicity of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Dele Oyewale, late on Monday night.
Aisha Alkali Wakil, popularly known as “Mama Boko Haram”, and two others, Tahiru Saidu Daura and Prince Lawal Soyade, have been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for a fraud worth N40 million. The spokesperson of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Dele Oyewale said on Monday that Justice Umaru Fadawu of the Borno State High Court, Maiduguri, convicted the trio of Wakil, Daura, and Soyade after they were arraigned by the commission on two counts of conspiracy and obtaining by false pretence to the tune of N40million.
Muhammad stated this on Friday in Zaria, Kaduna, the State's capital.
About 10 directors in the Federal Capital Territory Administration who have spent over eight years in office have failed to proceed on mand
