MUSIC festival Grooves on the Green, in Ashley Cross, is set to return next month. A HIGH-end delicatessen is to open its doors in Poole, having taken inspiration from Harrods and Selfridges. Nicholas James Delicatessen will officially open on Tuesday, July 27 on Station Road, Ashley Cross. The deli will replace Isabel’s Restaurant, which closed in January after more than 40 years of trading. Danny Lawrence, from Christchurch, had just pulled up in his car to visit some friends in Ashley Cross when he heard two loud bangs. He said: “People said I was like Usain Bolt because I ran so fast to the ambulance to see what had happened. “The adrenaline kicked in and I just acted on instinct. As I jumped on top of the ambulance, someone lifted my foot up and helped me on top of it. “I opened the door and asked the two women in the front ‘are you OK? Do either of you have any injuries?’ They said that they were fine, but they were a little bit shaken up.”
