A garbage crisis is looming over Bengaluru as mixed waste collection has been disrupted since Saturday, following a protest by residents of villages surrounding Bellahalli landfill.
These recommendations were made in response to the state government’s Brand Bengaluru initiative launched on June 21, which invited feedback from stakeholders and residents on the city’s challenges.
Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka D K Shivakumar also told the BBMP officials that the government intends to run the civic body corruption-free.
