Feb 2, 2021 2:34 PM The Nebraska-Kearney track and field teams are ranked 15th (men) and 22nd (women) in the second edition of the indoor Division II National Rating Index. The rankings are released weekly by the The Loper men, tallying 48.39 points, have 10 times or marks in the nation’s top 27. Fremont redshirt freshman Wes Ferguson is second in the 800 (school-record 1:50.60) with Kearney sophomore Brayden Sorensen third in the high jump (6-10.25). Hastings junior Seth Simonson (eighth/800; 1:52.47) is the other Loper in the top 10. West Texas A&M (171.09) vaults up four spots to number one with Ashland (Ohio), Grand Valley State (Mich.), Lee (Tenn.) and Central Missouri rounding out the top five. Finally, UNK is fifth in the Central Region behind Northwest Missouri, Pittsburg State, UCM and Missouri Southern State. ....
