“Due to the dry condition and wind, it actually did merge into one. We did see exponential growth in those two fires. Yesterday, they were at 100 hectares each,” said a PGFC representative. DriveBC says Highway 97 is closed between Sikanni Chief Road and Prophet River Road for 59.3 km (112 km north of Wonowon to 114 km south of Fort Nelson).
