The Pensacola CRA has concerns about the Imperium property downtown and is hoping to negotiate new development at the site.

In August 2020, the News Journal reported that two local restaurants had secured leases to become a part of the shopping center, but on Monday, Maxey said those two restaurants have since backed out.
