ST. LOUIS -- Squaring off against the rival Spartans for the third time this season, the dominance of No. 1 seed William Woods men's tennis (17-5) was on full display in a 5-0 sweep of No. 3 seed Missouri Baptist (14-10) on Thursday.
FULTON -- Although it wasn't originally intended as the team's Senior Day, Friday's match between William Woods (14-4, 2-0 American Midwest Conference) and Missouri Baptist (12-7, 2-1) proved to be a perfect stage to honor a pair of the best in WWU history.
FULTON -- Having surrendered a consolation match at the three doubles against Ottawa on Thursday, Andres De Los Rios Kolejewska and Felix Diedrichs roared to a quick win for William Woods (13-4) on Friday, powering the Owls to a 7-0 victory over former AMC foe Freed-Hardeman (3-12).
FULTON -- William Woods (11-4) needed less than 90 minutes to put Sunday's match against Midland University (6-4) in the win column, with Stepan Mach and Ben Grumley polishing off Midland's Nathen Bitzer and Boris Velasquez in just 13 minutes at the three doubles line.
FULTON -- With temperatures plummeting toward freezing on Saturday afternoon, No. 6 William Woods (9-4) rolled over No. 21 Lindsey Wilson (6-2), clinching a 4-0 win.
