Attorneys representing the estate of a woman shot to death by Greenwood police in March have filed a tort claim notice against the City of Greenwood, alleging officers wrongly killed her.
Monica Vaught was shot and killed in March after police say she barreled toward officers in her car. Her estate has now filed a claim with the city.
The investigations by the Greenwood Police Department and Johnson County Prosecutor's Office both found the officers' actions were lawful.
