Around this time of year, when we remember our veterans, grade-school children in a Washington state school won’t be taught to honor those who have served our country. Instead of a Veterans Day celebration, the school will have a peace and tolerance assembly. The school-wide gathering scheduled for November 15th this year at Benjamin Rush Elementary in Redmond, Washington will apparently leave out any acknowledgment of Veterans Day.

The administration of Benjamin Rush Elementary in the Lake Washington School District decided to replace Veteran's Day with a “Peace Assembly," and an "International Day of Tolerance." KTTH: In place of the Veterans Day assembly, the school’s administration opted to recognize the
