COULEE CITY – A strong defensive effort carried the Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors to their Northeast 1B District Tournament win over Northport Tuesday night, holding the Mustangs to under 30 points in a 54-24 win.

YAKIMA – The Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors left Thursday’s 1B State Volleyball Tournament with hardware, taking home a fourth-place trophy back to Coulee City.
The No. 4 seed Warriors opened the tournament with wins over Mount Vernon Christian and Mary Walker on Wednesday but lost to No. 1 Oakesdale in the state semifinals and No. 3 Mossyrock in the third/fourth-place game.
