Sony's PS5 Show Record-Breaking Sales with 4.5 Million Units Sold, Will They Ramp Up in Manufacturing

On February 3, Sony revealed that the sales of its new PlayStation 5 console has reached 4.5 million units in the last three months of 2020.
Sony reported operating profit of 359.2 billion Japanese yen or $3.4 billion from October 2020 to December 2020.
The numbers are up 20% from the same period back in 2019 and is breaking records. The revenues for the last quarter came in at 2.7 trillion Japanese yen, which is up 9% in annual revenues.
Sony sold 4.5 million PS5 consoles
Sony increased its profit forecast for the 12 months until March 2021 to 940 billion Japanese yen, which is up 34% from the 700 billion Japanese yen that the company previously predicted, according to IGN.

Since its launched in November 2020, the PS5 console has been very difficult to purchase as it gets sold out just minutes after it hits the shelves.
But you could have another chance to purchase one before the end of January 2021 as Target is said to be planning a series of new PS5 restock in its store branches across the United States.

According to Spiel Times, the new Target restocks could show up any time on January 19, 20, 21 or 22. The schedule sounds very vague but Spiel Times did correctly break the news of a previous Target PS5 restock on December 29, it gave that as one of the several possible PS5 restock dates. Although it is a rumor for now, a lot of people are anticipating it.

Steam, a a video game digital distribution service under Valve, is getting ready for the Chinese Lunar New Year by announcing that they will have a sale on February 12, 2021.
From the SteamDB platform, they posted on their Twitter account that these types of offers will be available from February 11 to February 15
