WATCH: Water line break affecting dozens Chatham

Around 4 p.m. Monday afternoon, the
Star-Tribune became aware of a water line break at the corner of Moses Mill Road and Callands Road in west Chatham, just outside town limits.
Water was gushing out of a hole in the ground near the intersection. The area remains flooded but water is standing still.
"Tanks are still good," Inframark representative Adam Brooks said. "Water hasn't dropped at all, but it hasn't gained either."
Chatham Mayor Will Pace said this water line break is much less severe than the major water main break that occurred over Memorial Day weekend earlier this year.

Green Rock inmates contribute to exhibit at Danville fine arts museum

CHATHAM and DANVILLE, Va. — The Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History, in collaboration with the Danville-Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce, Danville Parks and Recreation, the River District Association and Sovah Health of Danville, recently announced the plan for its new exhibit— WANDERLOVE: A Stitch in Time, featuring a yarn bombing July 4 on the Danville Riverwalk. Uniquely, inmates at Green Rock Correctional Center, a level 3 state prison on Beverly Heights Road in Chatham, will contribute to the exhibit.
Thanks to program coordinator Shelby Harrell, Green Rock Correctional Center established a finger-knitting program that is currently in its third year. Harrell was a pioneer in this regard, going on to inspire Nottoway Correctional Center in Burkeville, Virginia, to follow suit after seeing the program's success at Green Rock.
