A BRADFORD landmark has advanced in a national competition for cyclists on social media. The Big Red Bridge, which crosses the busy Manchester Road, was opened in August 2012 to give a safe link to and from town for walkers and cyclists. It has made it through the second round of the contest on Santy Highwayman (#CyclingInfraWorldCup). The bridge has made it into the second round of Santy Highwayman (#CyclingInfraWorldCup). It is battling for top spot in Group E with CS2 Stratford to Aldgate in London and Carpino Place in Salford. Votes on Twitter close at 6pm today. The Bradford bridge won group 13 of the first round, with 49.8 per cent of the votes in the Twitter competition.
