Panorama Studios has acquired the international remake rights to the Malayalam movies Drishyam 1 and 2 from the original producers Aashirvad Cinemas. The Malayalam film, which has been remade in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil, starred Mohanlal in the lead role.
The 2013 crime thriller has also been remade in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Sinhala and Mandarin
