As per the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding), IN-SPACe will provide incentives and technical guidance to space technology equipment manufacturing units and startups. For this purpose, a technical support and incubation center will also be set up at the IN-SPACe's headquarters, the government said.

The Gujarat government has entered into an agreement with the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) to establish a space manufacturing cluster in Ahmedabad. IN-SPACe will provide incentives and technical guidance to space technology equipment manufacturing units and startups, and a technical support and incubation center will be set up at its headquarters.

The technology has been developed at the Space Applications Centre, ISRO, and is the forerunner of ISRO's upcoming high-resolution SAR satellite, the NISAR and made available for ToT to the industry by IN-SPACe.
