For years, adults have had the opportunity to submit their artwork for an exhibit that commemorates Black History Month. This year, students were given the same opportunity. The Black Muse exhibit — held in partnership by the Manasota Chapter of Association for the Study of African American Life and History, Art Center Sarasota and Suncoast Black Arts Collaborative — has been held annually for adults for more than 10 years. reschedules more shows The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall continues to rearrange scheduled performances as its closure for the coronavirus pandemic continues. The hall has announced that a concert featuring six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald scheduled for Feb. 13 will be rescheduled for a future date.
