A Burke County Public Schools 5th grader has been named the Distinguished Elementary Gifted Student for the state of Georgia.

According to Superintendent Angela Williams, the community is getting the expanded Prime Time services they have requested. Currently, the afterschool program is held at the Waynesboro Family YMCA and is limited to about 30 children.
