Yet another class of graduating seniors will be crossing the stage at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium to receive their degrees on May 7 and 8. Here are just a few out of the many graduates.

VSU QB Rogan Wells transfers to Tusculum College

VSU star quarterback and national champion Rogan Wells has transferred to Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tenn.
Wells has graduated from VSU, but still has a year of eligibility left because of COVID-19’s season-ending effect on college football in 2020.
Throughout his career, Wells went 28-3 as a starter and threw for 7,130 yards and 69 touchdowns with 1,932 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns on the ground. He led the Blazers to a national championship victory in 2018 as a redshirt sophomore.
Wells released a public statement concerning his decision to transfer. It reads:

VSU ready for commencement

VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University will hold its 230th commencement with a series of four in-person ceremonies — three for undergraduate students and one for graduate students — Monday, Dec. 14, at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium. 
“I can’t wait to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates when the magic of in-person commencement returns to VSU,” said Dr. Richard A. Carvajal, university president. “I am incredibly proud of our graduates for having the dedication to overcome countless obstacles, including this ongoing global health crisis, and to finish strong and reach this significant milestone. I am similarly so proud of the world-class faculty and staff who supported these students through life-changing teaching, mentoring, advising, research, community engagement opportunities and much more on their journey to this special day.”  ....
